Constance Bradley, LAc., PhD
Constance believes that personalized care is always the best care. She works individually with each person to develop an individualized treatment plan to help her patients reach their health and wellness goals. Constance blends her scientific background of Western Medicine with the ancient wisdom of Chinese Medicine to offer her patients comprehensive, effective, holistic care. Her Path to Classical Chinese Medicine
Constance became interested in Chinese Medicine during her time in the Air Force. While serving as a professor at the US Air Force Academy, Constance coached the college’s triathlon team and was also an avid triathlete herself. During a training run, she suffered a debilitating knee and hip injury which sidelined her from the sport she loved. She was told by her physicians that she would never run again and was facing a lifetime of prescriptions and surgeries in order to regain any degree of normal function in her leg. On a whim - and with very low expectations - Constance decided to try acupuncture. During her first visit, it became clear to her that Chinese Medicine was fundamentally very different than Western Medicine. Because Chinese Medicine seeks to understand the total person, Constance was amazed that Acupuncture not only relieved her physical pain, but also cleared her chronic acne and balanced her digestion; in short, it restored her total well-being. Because Chinese Medicine was able to accomplish for her what Western Medicine could not, Constance knew she wanted to learn more about this amazing system of diagnosis and treatment. After honorably separating from military service, Constance attended the Phoenix Institute of Acupuncture and Herbal Medicine (PIHMA) and received a Master’s degree in Acupuncture. While attending PIHMA, she interned at the Mayo Clinic’s Department of Integrative Medicine in Phoenix, Arizona. Upon completion of the internship, Constance founded an Acupuncture clinic in Scottsdale, Arizona, which she successfully ran for 6 years. In 2021, Constance and her husband, Michael, relocated from Arizona to Kentucky to enjoy the beautiful climate and establish a self-sustainable homestead. Constance knew she wanted to continue to practice Acupuncture and was thrilled to find The Light Clinic, which immediately felt like her home away from home. She is grateful to be part of this outstanding group of practitioners! |
