Hexagrams are 6 lined symbolic pictures composed of yin (broken) and yang (solid) lines. The Yijing is used as a guide to consult when one is trying to understand or gain guidance on a situation or life event. It was common for the Emperor of China to ask the Yi Jing daily questions regarding any and all subject matters, whether personal or for the country. The Yi Jing is still used today among scholars and laypeople to give insight into the very nature of life’s happenings. Around 500 B.C.E. Confucius wrote in his bookThe Analects:“If I had another 50 years I would devote them all to studying the Yi, and might thereby avoid falling into error.”

Yi Jing (I Ching) 易經 Hexagram Series
This Yijing ~ I Ching series will focus on going in-depth into each of the 64 Yijing Hexagrams. The overall course is divided into 8 classes with each class exploring 8 Hexagrams in-depth. By the end of the course, you will have a solid base for making interpretations and should be able to recognize key insights about each Hexagram solely from the line patterns.
As always, we will incorporate meditation and mindful movement with the self-reflective practices of the Yijing. You should come out of each workshop feeling clear in body and mind and vibrant.
Each workshop may be taken on its own or you can take the whole series to deepen your practice and strengthen your "wisdom muscles." :)
